ERRORS IN LEGAL STRATEGY
The exact error is, as a general, assuming (out of one's own specific knowledge)
that the enemy will make certain splendidly planned steps which will lead him to
inevitable victory; whereas the enemy does not have that knowledge and may very
well have entirely different things in mind. Then to place all one's defense so as to repel
that hypothetical attack but not solidly meet the existing attack can lead to a severe defeat.
